The AHC Matrimonial Services Application Process

Begin by completing and submitting your application.

Schedule Your Consultation

We will contact you via email to arrange an in-person consultation with a member of our AHC Matrimonial Services team.

Step #3

Consultation

During your consultation at AHC, a team member will conduct a 30-minute interview, asking questions about you and your preferences to understand your profile better.

Step #4

Acceptance Letter

After reviewing your application and completing the consultation, we will send you an acceptance letter. This letter will include detailed policies of our Matrimonial Services and a document for you and your parents/guardians to sign.

Step #5

Matchmaking Process

Our team will start the matchmaking process. When we find a suitable match for you based on your profile and preferences, we will email you the details. You have up to 14 days to respond to this match. Both parties will receive the match on the same day. The profile will include basic information but will not contain contact details to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

Step #6

Response and Introduction

If both parties express interest, this is considered a successful match. We will arrange a private meet and greet at AHC for initial introductions and discussions.

Step #7

Further Communication

If the meeting succeeds, candidates and their families may exchange contact information. It is your responsibility to conduct a background check and decide whether to continue or discontinue communication.

Our team will await your feedback on the outcome of your match.

Workshops

We encourage all interested applicants, candidates, and their families to attend our Matrimonial Services workshops. Our first workshop will be scheduled in October 2024, InshaAllah.

Common Q&A

As a parent, can I sign my daughter or son up for an account?

As a parent, you are welcome to sign your son or daughter up as a candidate, but their consent is required. You'll need to provide their details and phone number so we can reach out to them directly for a one-on-one consultation. During this consultation, we will communicate solely with the candidate. Parents will only be involved in a follow-up consultation if requested by the family or the matrimonial team.

How do you verify profiles are real?

Before any matchmaking takes place, the AHC Matrimonial Services Committee will conduct a one-on-one consultation with each candidate. After speaking with the candidates, we will review their profiles and send an acceptance email to those who qualify.

How is the AHC matrimonial service different from other matrimonial websites?

We do not offer candidates access to a database to search for potential matches. Instead, we personally connect each candidate with prospective matches, sharing only profiles that are carefully selected for compatibility. We make it a priority to stay in touch with our candidates and provide personalized follow-up services when necessary. Most importantly, this is not a business. Our primary goal is to offer a valuable service to our community by bringing families together with the intention of marriage.

Do you help candidates living in any other country, but would like to move here?

No. 

Do you help to match candidates in other surrounding states within the USA?

At the moment, we are keeping things local, working only with candidates from the Capital District of New York and surrounding areas, provided AHC is within a reasonable driving distance for the candidate or their family. All primary consultations and initial meet-and-greet sessions with potential matches will take place in person.

Do you share our profiles onto other platforms and groups?

No, all profiles are kept strictly within our committee and private AHC database. We do not share profiles with other matrimonial programs at masajid, on social media platforms like Facebook, or with private matrimonial organizations. Your profile will only be shared as part of a mutual introduction when a suitable match is found, and a direct email will be sent to the other candidate. Additionally, all accepted candidates will be required to sign a privacy agreement, committing to keep all matched profiles confidential and to delete them if the matchmaking attempt does not result in a favorable outcome.

Can we sign up for an account without a picture?

No, a photo is required for your profile if you wish to be matched with potential candidates. The picture should be modest, forward-facing, and free of filters or sunglasses. Both full-body or half-body images are acceptable.

Is the service private?

Yes, this is a private service. Only candidates who have applied, been accepted by AHC Matrimonial Services, and have been matched with you will receive your profile via email.  

How often should I expect to receive matches?

The timing will depend on the number of applicants and how quickly they complete their applications and schedule consultations. Once we have a sufficient number of candidates in the database, we will be able to maintain a consistent and ongoing matching process. The committee will meet weekly to match candidates, but there is no guarantee on how frequently you will be matched. 

Is there an age limit?

Anyone 18 years or older can apply. While our primary focus is to assist younger adults in their 20s and 30s in finding their life partners, there are no age limits to our matrimonial services. We welcome candidates of any age, whether never married, divorced, or widowed. Although the pool may be smaller for older candidates, we encourage everyone to apply. When a suitable match is found, we will be sure to notify you.

How long do I have to respond to a match? What happens if I do not respond in time?

To respect both the committee and the candidate/family you've been matched with, we ask that all candidates respond to matches as quickly as possible, with a maximum response time of 14 days. If we do not receive a yes or no within this timeframe, the match will be terminated, and the other candidate will move on—unless you provide a valid reason for the delay.
If this happens multiple times, we will contact you to confirm your continued interest in our services and discuss whether to deactivate or put your account on hold. We kindly ask that you honor the time and efforts of the committee by maintaining timely communication with all parties involved.
